Join fiveD!

fiveD is a fast-growing high-tech startup focused on radar simulation.
We develop a high-precision simulation platform that enables industry and research teams to design, test, and validate complex sensor systems in a realistic and scalable way.

Our work combines deep expertise in radar and simulation with modern software engineering and scalable compute infrastructure. We collaborate closely with industry partners and work on real-world projects in automotive, aerospace, and more.

We’re hiring across all experience levels – and if you’re excited about deep tech and real responsibility, you’ll fit right in. All open positions are hybrid/onsite in our HQ in Erlangen.

Head of Product (m/f/d)

Own the product vision and roadmap for our simulation platform. You’ll work at the interface of customer requirements, engineering capabilities, and market needs — translating technical complexity into clear priorities and making sure we’re building the right things in the right order.

You bring experience shipping technical software products, a structured way of thinking about roadmaps and tradeoffs, and enough technical depth to have credible conversations with radar and software engineers.

UI/UX Engineer – Qt/QML (m/f/d)

Build interfaces that make complex simulation technology accessible and intuitive. You’ll own the frontend of our simulation platform — shaping how engineers interact with technically demanding workflows and turning that into something that actually feels good to use.

What you bring:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Qt, QML, and Qt Quick
  • A genuine sense for UI/UX — you think about the user, not just the widget
  • Proficiency in C++ and/or Python in a Qt environment

The UI/UX dimension here goes beyond this role: good interface thinking has a multiplying effect across engineering tools, customer-facing outputs, and internal workflows. If that’s something you care about, you’ll find plenty of room to make an impact.

Field Application Engineer Radar Simulation (m/f/d)

Bridge complex radar simulation technology and clear external communication.
You’ll work closely with engineers to translate technical concepts into accurate and compelling content for customers, partners, and public audiences.
This includes presentations, technical marketing material, use-case descriptions, and support for demos and events.
Your work ensures that our technology is communicated clearly, credibly, and with the right technical depth.

Communications & Radar Systems Engineer (m/f/d)

Work at the intersection of simulation and real customer applications across communications and radar systems. You’ll use our simulation platform to support application-specific customer projects, analyze concrete use cases, and generate meaningful technical insights.

In close collaboration with customers and internal engineering teams, you’ll translate requirements into tailored simulation setups and results. Your work directly contributes to customer success and feeds back into the continuous improvement of our platform

IT Systems Administrator (m/f/d)

Keep our infrastructure running and growing. You’ll manage a mixed environment spanning Windows and Linux systems, take care of device management, virtualization, and networking — and occasionally get your hands dirty building servers yourself.

What you bring:

  • Willingness to own a broad scope — from infrastructure decisions down to physical server assembly
  • Solid experience administering Microsoft environments, including device management via Intune and Active Directory
  • Hands-on Linux administration, ideally with Ansible for configuration management
  • Experience with Proxmox or comparable virtualization platforms, including GPU passthrough setups
  • Network administration experience, ideally including firewall management

Working Student System

Administration / DevOps (m/f/d)

Support our system administration and DevOps work for our radar simulation platform.
You’ll operate and maintain Linux-based development environments, internal services, and cloud resources that support day-to-day engineering work.
